Gardenscapes Gone
I understand and believe whole heartedly developers deserve to be paid for developing and creating games. However when greed becomes the driving/motivating force I believe there is a problem and a line has been crossed!
When one uses good strategy, uses all available power ups and spends over 2,000 coins on one level at one time, (A level which was already played over 30 times), just to finally recognize the level is unbeatable without spending a fortune to beat it, I say greed has kicked into high gear!
I have been playing gardenscapes for about two months. I really liked it. However, I have been playing another game, “Gummy Drop” for over 3 years. Some levels on Gummy Drop are very difficult, but coin prices on Gummy Drop are FAIR. 150 coins on Gummy Drop gets 15 extra moves and actually HELP, as do the power ups one purchases. However gardenscapes Is another story. One must spend 900 coins for the first set of five extra moves, 1,200 coins for a second set of five extra moves, and 2,000 for a third set of five extra moves… and power ups in many cases appear to be fairly useless! And, God only knows what it would cost for a fourth set of extra moves? I’m not about to find out! On gardenscapes 15 extra moves costs 4,100 coins vs 150 on gummy drop. The ratio of coins earned vs. the coins one must spend for extra moves on Gardenscapes is completely out of whack! For anyone on a fixed income, gardenscapes pricing is appalling and outrageous.
It is very clear the developers of gummy drop care about their players. In my opinion, the same cannot be said for the developers of Gardenscapes. And so, Gardenscapes is now GONE from my iPad (which is kinda sad) while Gummy Drop is still alive and well! I have played over 7,000 levels on Gummy Drop over the last 3+ years and NEVER complained once! (In fact I gave it five stars )...Only got to level 269 or 270 on Gardenscapes. Don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out which game is better and worth spending money on and which game is not! Gummy drop wins hands-down, gardenscapes loses!
